The Zfx™ Converter software module enable users to decode the 3D information from Zimmer Biomet’s Encode Healing Abutments. The unique codes on the Encode Healing Abutment convey information on the implant placed. The information includes: implant connection type and size, hex position of the implant, and abutment height. The outcome is an open STL file that can be used to design a final patient- specific prosthesis. Similarly the digital model can be generated with the matching digital analog.
In order to capture the specific codes a digital or traditional impression is taken of the Encode Healing Abutment. The scan data of a digital or traditional impression is imported into the Converter software for decoding to allow for further design and processing.
